Template:Short description The Marvel Comics character Black Panther has appeared in various other media since his debut in Fantastic Four #52 (July 1966). A live-action feature film starring Chadwick Boseman as the character and directed by Ryan Coogler was released in 2018, with Boseman also appearing as the character in other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) including Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

  • The T'Challa incarnation of the Black Panther appears in Ultimate Avengers 2 (2006), voiced by Jeffrey D. Sams.[6] Like his father T'Chaka, this version has the ability to transform into an anthropomorphic black panther.
  • The T'Challa incarnation of the Black Panther appears in Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow (2008).Script error: No such module "Unsubst". He is killed in battle with Ultron, with his and Storm's son Azari being rescued and taken to live in the Arctic Circle.

Chadwick Boseman portrayed T'Challa / Black Panther in media set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.[19][20] This version displays enhanced speed, agility, strength, and durability, which he gains from ingesting the heart-shaped herb, as in the comics.[21] Additionally, his suit has retractable claws and is made of a Vibranium weave, which can deflect heavy machine gunfire and withstand explosive attacks. T'Challa appears in the live-action films Captain America: Civil War (2016), Black Panther (2018),[19][20] Avengers: Infinity War (2018),[22] and Avengers: Endgame (2019).[23] Following Boseman's death, the actor posthumously voices three alternate timeline versions of T'Challa in season one of the Disney+ animated series What If...?.[24][25] In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), T'Challa's sister Shuri (portrayed by Letitia Wright) takes over the mantle of the Black Panther. His father, T'Chaka appears as Black Panther in a flashback in Black Panther (2018).
