Egil Nyhus (born 23 January 1962) is a Norwegian illustrator and cartoonist renowned for his editorial cartoons and illustrations for children’s books. Known for his caricatures and artistic versatility, he has received numerous accolades in his field.
Early Life and Education
Egil Nyhus was born in Tønsberg, Norway, and is the twin brother of illustrator and writer Svein Nyhus. From 1981 to 1985, he studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry, where he honed his skills in art and illustration.
Career
Nyhus began his professional journey as a newspaper illustrator, first working for Tønsbergs Blad from 1986 to 1987 and then for Romerikes Blad from 1987 onward. His work has spanned various genres, including editorial cartoons and children’s book illustrations.
