Nicholas Lucien first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #200 (July 1983) and was created by Mike W. Barr and Dave Gibbons. He is a Satan-themed criminal from Gotham City on Earth-Two who possesses pyrokinesis. Lucien later possesses his Earth-One counterpart, but is forced to return to his own body and is paralyzed in the process.[7]

Joseph Chamberlain

The Joseph Chamberlain incarnation of Brimstone first appeared in The Curse of Brimstone #1 (June 2018), and was created by Justin Jordan and Philip Tan. He is a man from the isolated mining town of York Hills who makes a deal with the Salesman, a demonic entity from the Dark Multiverse, to increase the town's prosperity. In the process, he is connected to the Firestorm matrix and gains the ability to transform into Brimstone.[8]
