History
By 1933 the syndicate was recognized as one of the American newspaper industry's "Big Four" syndicates, alongside United Feature Syndicate, King Features Syndicate, and Bell-McClure.[1] It distributed major comic strips including The Gumps, Little Orphan Annie, Terry and the Pirates, Li'l Abner, and Moon Mullins.[1] The syndicate was later renamed Tribune Media Services and, in 2013, Tribune Content Agency, under which name it continues to operate.[1]
