The Stage Coach, or The Country Inn Yard is a 1747 engraving by William Hogarth depicting a chaotic scene of passengers, luggage, and animals converging in the yard of a country inn as a stagecoach prepares to depart.[1] The densely packed composition is characteristic of Hogarth's eye for the comic disorder of everyday English travel and public life.
