Displays up to four images side by side using MediaWiki's native <gallery mode="packed"> (built via

with each conditional entry on its own literal source line, since a trailing newline generated inside a 's true branch gets trimmed away by ParserFunctions, silently merging entries onto one line). Matches the skin's own gallery styling (rounded thumbnails, packed row layout, hover effects) instead of custom CSS.

Editors can freely resize the images with the total_height parameter — all images in the row share that height (default 280px), and packed mode automatically works out each image's width from its own aspect ratio, so there's no need to size each photo individually. Use a smaller number (e.g. 150) for a compact row, or larger (e.g. 350) for a more prominent one. Articles imported from Wikipedia that instead pass total_width still work — it's converted to an equivalent height automatically — but total_height gives more direct, predictable control and takes priority if both are set.

When align=left or align=right (the default), the gallery is capped at 55% of the article's width (max 560px) so it can never crowd the surrounding paragraph down to an unreadably narrow sliver of text — the packed layout shrinks itself to fit that space automatically. Set align=none to instead show the gallery as a full-width block between paragraphs, with no text wrapping beside it at all.
