Steve Niles is an American comic book writer best known for creating the horror series 30 Days of Night, which revitalized horror comics and was adapted into a 2007 film.[1]

Career

Niles grew up in the Washington, D.C. area, where he worked in comic book retail and was active as a musician in the city's punk scene, performing with bands that released material on Dischord Records, before establishing himself as a comic writer. In addition to 30 Days of Night, his acclaimed series include Criminal Macabre, October Faction (later adapted into a Netflix series), Simon Dark, Frankenstein Alive! Alive!, and Batman: Gotham County Line.[1]

Later work

Niles has continued producing graphic novels, including Parasomnia: The Graphic Album, a companion work to a Dream Theater album featuring surreal fantasy stories.[1]
