Hogarth's Servants is a group portrait painted by William Hogarth around 1750–1755, depicting six members of his household staff gathered informally, their faces rendered with the same individualized, unidealized attention Hogarth gave his wealthier portrait subjects.[1] The painting is notable for treating ordinary working people as worthy subjects of serious portraiture, a sympathetic approach Hogarth also brought to works like The Shrimp Girl.
